Easy (early clinical) - basic history

Intermediate (late clinical) - more complex history, requiring more sensitive questions and more patient concerns.

Hard (finals) - challenging history requiring good communication skills to deal with difficult emotions and expectations. May also require an explanation to the patient.

There are an infinite amount of histories that can come up. Some common examples are shown here. Feel free to make up some of your own variations to mix things up. Remember to include concerns, emotions, different personalitites and ensure the candidate explodes the presenting complaint fully and asks the relevant systems review questions. Use our generic OSCE history marksheet.
